Erin Lee Creative January Release

Hi friends! Today we are hopping to show off the newest release from Erin Lee Creative .  Once again there is a host of unique stamps, dies and stencils, as well as some amazing rainbow holographic cardstock. *PRIZES* Be sure to comment on the blog entries in the hop so you can enter to win a $50 voucher to use in the ELC shop .  There will be two winners chosen at random from the comments. On to the projects: For my first card, I wanted to showcase this big and bold sentiment from the new Stay Golden  stamp set.   One of my favorite techniques is coloring with Copic markers over the top of white heat embossing.  It is a great way to make colors pop on dark cardstock.    Doesn't this stamp just beg for vibrant colors? So fun. The next card uses the new Nesting Stars die set, a sentiment from the Stripe Sentiments stamp set (previously released), and some ink blending with the Retro Swirl stencil  (also previously released).  I lov...

Erin Lee Creative November Release

Hello!  I am your last stop on the Erin Lee Creative blog hop for the November release, now available in the shop .  If you haven't seen everyone's creations yet, check the list at the bottom of this post. *PRIZES* Two $50 gift vouchers will be given to winners chosen randomly from comments on each blog in the hop.  Winners will be announced on the Erin Lee Creative blog on November 9. Let's get to the projects! First up are two cards made with the same products...the  Stripe Background Stamp  and the  Stripe Sentiments Stamp Set .  There are so many possibilities with just these two products!  I started with an autumn rainbow of distress oxide inks: I really love how these sentiments fit perfectly in the stripes, and they look like the labels we used to make with those vintage label makers (remember turning the wheel and pulling the trigger for the right letters?).  They look especially good when heat embossed. (Sorry for getting that song...

25 Days of Christmas Tags--Sunny Studio

Hello, friends!  Today I get to join a fantastic blog hop hosted by my sweet friend, Tracey McNeely .  Starting November 1, each day will bring tags made by fantastic cardmakers using stamps from each of the companies below.   *PRIZES* Be sure to comment on Tracey's blog and follow directions there for a chance to win prizes from each of these sponsors: Today I have the honor of sharing the tags I made with Sunny Studio stamps and dies.  Their layering sets are so clever and realistic!  They are offering a $25 gift certificate to their shop. First up is a tag made with the Petite Poinsettias stamps and coordinating dies .  These flowers are small but so detailed--perfectly scaled for a tag. Next are two tags made with the Christmas Trimmings stamp set and coordinating dies .  Again, the detail on these small layering stamps is amazing!  Those pinecones are so perfect.  I also used the "for" and "you" stamps from the Fruit Cocktail s...

Erin Lee Creative October Release

For this next card, I decided to make a lacey border by fussy cutting around the edges of the images.  Backing it with black re...

ELC Look On the Bright Side Kit

Hi friends,  Erin Lee Creative has a fantastic new kit today which coordinates with the previously-released Somewhere Kit .  It's called Look On the Bright Side , and it has a die, stencil and stamp sets with the most perfect sentiments for encouragement cards.  There is also a rainbow alphabet set available as an add-on.   Join us in our blog hop today and comment to enter for a giveaway (see below). Isn't this a great kit? My first card uses the rainbow burst stencil.  I pounced white ink through the stencil, then I used Polychromos pencils to color over the white ink.  This technique allows the color to stand out on dark cardstock.  Of course I had to add a little shine and glitter, so I colored over parts of the rainbow and rays with a shimmer pen. My next two cards were inspired by a T-shirt ad I came across, and I loved the ombré of skin tones.  I really believe that good things are coming, and I absolutely believe that we rise by lift...

ELC Peace, Love & Happiness Kit

Hello friends, I have some fun projects today using Erin's newest kit.  It's called " Peace, Love & Happiness ", and it has so many groovy possibilities!  It comes with a background stamp, stencils, dies and two full stamp sets.  There are also two add-on dies available. I have all kinds of ideas for this set, but today I'm only showing 3 cards.  I used one of my favorite techniques on my first two cards--Copic coloring over white embossed images.  This swirly background stamp has so many colorful possibilities, and I started with rainbow first.  It brings back memories of skate nights in elementary school for some reason. I love how the colors seem to glow on the black cardstock. My last card uses one of the stencils in the kit.  I blended a rainbow of inks around the center, then popped up this sentiment on a matted rectangle.  Isn't it the best sentiment? There are so many fun things you can do with this set.  Go grab yours from the E...

These brand new stamps and dies put a modern twist on some classic designs.  Today I am using the Houndstooth Background stamp along with the Congratulations and Happy Birthday dies.  Love the font on these! First up is the classic black and white houndstooth with a pop of red.  I die cut a rectangle out of the middle for the sentiment and added just a peek of red behind the card front.  I thin...
