Cup Heart Die

On to the projects!

I have a confession to make...I do not drink coffee.  I do, however, drink a fair amount of hot chocolate.  The stash in my pantry is ridiculous!  So even if you aren't a coffee drinker, these products can be easily adapted to whatever hot drink you enjoy.

This first card uses a stamp I love--how simple to have the hands around the cup like that.  I imagine she is sitting across the table from a friend, having a great talk.  Won't it be nice when we can do that again?  For now, this card will have to do.

See those stains on the kraft cardstock?  Those are made with a stencil from this kit.  Genius!  This Love You die is one of my go-to sentiment dies!  (Psst.  It's on sale right now, too!)

I colored everything with Copics and added some silver gel pen to the bracelets.  Doesn't that shirt look comfy?

For my second card, I used the add-on Cup Heart Die and the little insulated cup stamp from the big set.  This die is so clever!

I cut this image out from Holographic Cardstock.  Then I stamped the "love you" from the previously-released Winter Florals set in black, then heat embossed it with clear powder so it wouldn't smear.

If you love coffee, this kit (and the add-ons) are for you!

Remember to keep hopping and commenting for a chance to win this great kit.  Look at what great company I get to keep:

  2. The coffee stains are a fab backdrop for the sweet image on your first card and the colouring is lovely. The die looks amazing in the holographic card stock. I, too, don't drink coffee but have more coffee themed stamps than I probably should. Thank you for sharing your creative cards!

February Blog Hop

For this month's Hop, we are to pay homage to a member of PTI's Design Team. They are all so very talented! I chose a recent project by the amazing Debbie Olson . I loved her simple design with white embossed violets on Raspberry Fizz, with a few little details sprinkled in--sparkly centers, a scored edge and rounded corners. Just beautiful! I actually copied this card exactly, because it was so easy, but then I decided to change it up a bit. Here is my version in Enchanted Evening, with the smaller flowers. I didn't have the right color buttons, so I made a little fancy ribbon edge. The sparkles are flat rhinestone stickers. Best $1.99 I've spent in a while! Thanks for the inspiration, Debbie! Lil' Inker Designs Mini Release Blog Hop

Hello, friends!  So glad you're here, hopping with us.  (Go here  to see the full blog hop order.)  I am excited to show you this brand new stamp from Lil' Inker Designs , which is part of their May Mini Release.  Leave comments on any of the blogs in this hop to enter to win one of the new stamp sets, the new cover plate, or the angel pets goodies!  Details on the Lil' Inker Designs Blog . This stamp is called Never Regret Being Kind. (Keep hopping, and you'll see more!) One of the things I love most about this hobby is that it is inherently kind.  So what could be better than a stamp that encourages even more kindness?  Such a great sentiment! This stamp is easy to use as the focal point of a card...so easy, in fact, that I made 4 right out of the gate!  Each one uses a different technique--this stamp is so versatile. For my first, I heat embossed the sentiment in white on steel grey cardstock.  I then colored over the...

July Blog Hop

This month's Blog Hop challenge was to use text as a background. I haven't done that in a while. I chose to use the script paper from Raspberry Fizz patterned paper, and I went crazy and made two cards. Yahoo. For this first card, I traced a Maya Road flower, knotted a piece of ribbon and poked it through a hole in the center. The New Leaf ribbon is just looped a little and adhered to itself. This second card didn't turn out quite as well as I had envisioned, but it works fine. It's for a friend of mine, and I just wanted to have a bunch of different kinds of hearts to represent different personalities.
