Erin Lee Creative October Release

 Hi friends,

Welcome to the blog hop for Erin Lee Creative's October release!  There are some wonderful new products this month.  I'm sure you'll find something you will love.

*Blog Hop Prizes*:  2 lucky commenters will win a $50 gift code to use in the ELC shop.  Winners will be announced on the Monday, October 26 ELC Blog post.  Be sure to comment on all the blogs and Instagram posts in the hop for a chance to win!

First up, we have the new Quilted Stencil.  This is such a unique, geometric pattern.

Here I've done some tone-on-tone ink blending for a subtle pattern.  This Happy Birthday Word Die and its fun font pair well with the pattern.

Next up is a beautiful set called Winter Florals.  The delicate lines look so nice when heat embossed, and the font is just perfect.

For this next card, I decided to make a lacey border by fussy cutting around the edges of the images.  Backing it with black really makes it stand out.

As you can see, there is a really great variety of new products in the Erin Lee Creative shop.  There is something for everyone.  And right now, there is a great sale with lots of great deals, so go check it out!

Thanks for stopping by.  Be sure to comment on everyone's posts for a chance to win.  Next up in the hop is Michelle.

  1. Oh I love your CAS card designs! Beautiful! I really like the idea of fussy cutting the stamp to create a faux border die.

  2. Wow, Cheryl... I could gush. I'll try not to. Your three cards are ALL simply GORGEOUS! Wow, are you talented!! When I first saw that Winter Floral stamp set in Erin's video, I was not sure. Now I am, between your beautiful red and green cards that feature that set in addition to at least one other Blog Hop crafter's card.... you all made such fabulous use of it. The fussy cutting on the red one makes an amazing look! The white embossing powder on both of them really makes a standout visual impact. I like the geometric b-day card, too... I agree w/ you... that font is terrific!
Blessings on you now and always.

  11. I wasn't sure by looking at the "quilt" stencil online how it would work but I love it based on how you used it. I really like the fussy cut border on the pink/white/black card.

  12. All three cards are beautiful, Cheryl, but my favorite is your last one in red & black where you fussy cut the edge.

Erin Lee Creative January Release

Hi friends! Today we are hopping to show off the newest release from Erin Lee Creative .  Once again there is a host of unique stamps, dies and stencils, as well as some amazing rainbow holographic cardstock. *PRIZES* Be sure to comment on the blog entries in the hop so you can enter to win a $50 voucher to use in the ELC shop .  There will be two winners chosen at random from the comments. On to the projects: For my first card, I wanted to showcase this big and bold sentiment from the new Stay Golden  stamp set.   One of my favorite techniques is coloring with Copic markers over the top of white heat embossing.  It is a great way to make colors pop on dark cardstock.    Doesn't this stamp just beg for vibrant colors? So fun. The next card uses the new Nesting Stars die set, a sentiment from the Stripe Sentiments stamp set (previously released), and some ink blending with the Retro Swirl stencil  (also previously released).  I love how so many products can be used together.   And

February Blog Hop

For this month's Hop, we are to pay homage to a member of PTI's Design Team. They are all so very talented! I chose a recent project by the amazing Debbie Olson . I loved her simple design with white embossed violets on Raspberry Fizz, with a few little details sprinkled in--sparkly centers, a scored edge and rounded corners. Just beautiful! I actually copied this card exactly, because it was so easy, but then I decided to change it up a bit. Here is my version in Enchanted Evening, with the smaller flowers. I didn't have the right color buttons, so I made a little fancy ribbon edge. The sparkles are flat rhinestone stickers. Best $1.99 I've spent in a while! Thanks for the inspiration, Debbie! May WMS Blog Waltz

This month's WMS Blog Waltz challenge is to make a birthday card. I have no trouble making cards for girls, but sometimes boy cards elude me. I absolutely LOVE this paper airplane from Free Spirit-Boy , and I think it's perfect for a simple, masculine birthday card. (Inside the card it says, "happy birthday".) Enjoy!
