Friends 'Til the End Challenge

Today's challenge at PTI is to make a card for our best friend.  This one is for my very (insert every positive superlative here) and dear friend, Sherri.  I just love that girl.  She makes me a better person, and I love the fact that over the course of just a few minutes, we can go from silly to spiritual, and not skip a beat.  We are two transplanted California girls, living on the East Coast, so we look out for each other.
Sherri loves these happy colors, so I thought I'd indulge her.  Thanks to Jenn, I now have a few sheets of Spring Moss cardstock (don't ask me why I haven't gotten that color yet), which I used to mat the sentiment (words are from SU's Amazing to Zany set, which I don't use often enough, and the "friend" was masked from PTI's Believe).  I also thought the left side needed a little charm, so I cut a flower from some leftover paper, punched a hole with my paper piercer, and hung it from a tiny strip of ribbon.  Here's a closeup:

Paper: PTI White, Bitty Baby Blessings patterned, Lemon Tart, Spring Moss
Ink: PTI Berry Sorbet
Stamps: SU Amazing to Zany, PTI Believe
Other: PTI Lemon Tart satin, tiny strip of yellow Offray ribbon, dimensional tape

  6. I love the card. It is so beautiful. The colors are perfect. You pegged just what colors I like. You are so talented. And creative. And who cares? YOU PICKED ME! SHE PICKED ME! MEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEME! I am doing the Snoopy dance of joy! She picked me! And blogged about it/me! The words on the card were clearly handpicked to describe ME ME ME ME ME ME ME. They were such nice words. Who wouldn't want a card like that? I want it. I will wait until after she wins the contest, if I have to, and I can't wait to see what she writes on the inside to ME! I am entirely confident that if everyone had their own Cheryl, everybody would be happier, more well adjusted people. I am willing to share her, but in the end, she is mine, and I pledge my undying friendship to her, which she knows she already had long before she made this card. My kids asked me why I was crying this morning. She picked me, people! And she has no shortage of friends. She is totally popular. I am the contest winner. This is going to be a good day, even though I have to go to the dentist. I hate going to the dentist. Behold the power of a card.

We are hopping today (see list below) to show off these great new products.  If you've come from Lindsay Dickason's blog , you're in the right place! There will be two (2) $25 gift certificate winners chosen from the comments on our blogs, so comment away!  Winners will be posted on the Erin Lee Creative Blog on Saturday, February 1. First up:  Stained Glass Stencil I used some pearly embossing paste with this stencil, and as you can see, the results are nice and crisp.  I popped up the "hello" ( Big Hello Love Die ) on some foam for more dimension, and the card is complete.  With a great background like that, a simple word die will finish it without competing. Next up we have two products: L...

Let's get to the projects! First up are two cards made with the same products...the  Stripe Background Stamp  and the  Stripe Sentiments Stamp Set .  There are so many possibilities with just these two products!  I started with an autumn rainbow of distress oxide inks: I really love how these sentiments fit perfectly in the stripes, and they look like the labels we used to make with those vintage label makers (remember turning the wheel and pulling the trigger for the right letters?).  They look especially good when heat embossed. (Sorry for getting that song...
