Dawn McVey Color Challenge

Here is my entry for one last challenge for PTI's 2nd Anniversary. The challenge is to use a color combination like Dawn McVey did this week with her projects. She creates stunning combinations of color--pairings that I am frankly too chicken to use, so I played it safe this time. I don't have Melon Berry yet, but I used Berry Sorbet and Summer Sunrise. They are delicious together in real life, but very difficult to capture on camera. Alas, after many tries and a little Picassa magic, this is the best approximation I could do. You'll just have to trust me on this. It looks so much better in person. I added little dots of white Souffle pen (it puffs up when it dries--very fun) to tie in with the white card base and tag.

Paper: PTI White, Summer Sunrise
Ink: Berry Sorbet, Versamark
Stamps: PTI Guide Lines, Flower Garden Sentiments
Other: White embossing powder, PTI Berry Sorbet Satin ribbon, Souffle pen

  3. Cheryl,
What a pretty blog! I think the card photographed/picasa-ed very well! Stunning! And adding the dots was a perfect finish! I also like your PTI friends card in the last post...don't you just LOVE her patterned papers! Delicious!

Thanks too for your comment on my blog. I also have a hard time gettting the colors to look right after I take the picture...and it does get annoying! The colors are so pretty together, though :)

  5. Very pretty Cheryl. Simple to assemble but doesn't look simple. Those colors DO look good together IRL and I think you got them pretty well done.

Love your other cards too! :-)
