Impressed Thank You

Oh, this was so hard to photograph!  I recently made 40 of this card for my son's Cub Scout leaders.  Phew!  I used this technique of impressing a die along with an impression plate--I used some small glue dots to hold the die in place on the IP, then ran it all through my Cuttlebug. Paper: PTI White Ink: Versafine Onyx Stamps: SU Other: Taylored Expressions Damask/Houndstooth IP, PTI Fillable Frames #10 die, dimensional tape

Pattern Play Day 1

Please bear with me on a journey outside my comfort zone!  I signed up for this Online Card Class , because I need some serious help using patterned paper on my cards.  I have found that I can coordinate the papers just fine with size, scale and color, but utilizing them on cards is another story.  I think I'm good with 2 patterns, but 3 is difficult.  Here are my attempts at using 3--Papa Bear, Mama Bear and Baby Bear sized patterns. This first one is for my son who has a birthday next week.  I'm showing it to you, because you will most likely be more impressed with it than he will.  :/ The second card is just a baby or little boy card for my stash.   Card #1  Paper: PTI Men of Life PP, Fine Linen Bitty Dot, White, Pure Poppy, Spring Rain Ink: Whaddya know?  No ink! Stamps:  Hmm.  No stamps, either. Other: PTI By the Numbers Dies, MFT Blueprints Dies #1 Card #2 Paper: PTI Men of Life PP, Pure Poppy, White ...

Seashell Hello

This card is one of the second half of the card set I made for my friend.  She requested blues and greens and beachy things.  I used Clear and Simple's Seashells set, all stuck on my stamp press so I could stamp them in one fell swoop.  That "hello" really isn't white...it's the negative of the die cut with the cream card base showing through.  Oh well.  You already know that photography isn't my strong suit. Paper: PTI Vintage Cream, Ocean Tides Ink: Versamark Stamps: Clear and Simple Stamps: Seashells Other: PTI Hello die

Mehndi Thank You

Here's a card I made for a set my friend ordered from me.  It only took me a thousand years to figure out what to do, but in the end, I went with CAS.  I stamped the "Thank you" in Versafine, then heat embossed with clear powder, just for a little more texture. Paper: PTI Vintage Cream, SU Vanilla, Marina Mist Ink: PTI Spring Rain, Versafine Onyx Stamps: PTI Mega Mehndi Medallion, Big and Bold Wishes Other: Clear Filigree Embossing Powder
