Mehndi Thank You

Here's a card I made for a set my friend ordered from me.  It only took me a thousand years to figure out what to do, but in the end, I went with CAS.  I stamped the "Thank you" in Versafine, then heat embossed with clear powder, just for a little more texture.

Paper: PTI Vintage Cream, SU Vanilla, Marina Mist
Ink: PTI Spring Rain, Versafine Onyx
Stamps: PTI Mega Mehndi Medallion, Big and Bold Wishes

    I think I'm going to substitute a new stamp in it's place and do a little CASE'ing. ;)

For this month's Hop, we are to pay homage to a member of PTI's Design Team. They are all so very talented! I chose a recent project by the amazing Debbie Olson . I loved her simple design with white embossed violets on Raspberry Fizz, with a few little details sprinkled in--sparkly centers, a scored edge and rounded corners. Just beautiful! I actually copied this card exactly, because it was so easy, but then I decided to change it up a bit. Here is my version in Enchanted Evening, with the smaller flowers. May Blog Hop.

This month we were challenged to use yellow.  It doesn't seem like it would be that hard, but for some reason, it can be.  I do love the combination of Berry Sorbet and Lemon Tart, so I stamped the big flower from PTI's Everyday Classics  in Berry Sorbet on white, then cut it out.  The small flowers are stamped in SU Ruby Red and popped up on dimensionals.  For the leaves, I used the wings from the birds in that set.  Enjoy!
