Father's Day & CFC 105

Hello again.  I'm just briefly coming up for air after hiding from the freight train of the end of the school year.  Graduation, birthdays, camping trips, and Father's Day--all in the same week?  Um, okay.

Anyway, here is a Father's Day card for my dad (and a twin one for my FIL).  I love this World Map stamp!  This also qualifies for this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge, using maps.  Yahoo!


Stamped on white cardstock in Versamark, then heat embossed in white.  Then I used Distress inks to sponge on the color.  Love this look!

The inside of the card says, "Dad, Grandpa, Father-in-law.  Happy Father's Day!"

For this month's Hop, we are to pay homage to a member of PTI's Design Team. They are all so very talented! I chose a recent project by the amazing Debbie Olson . I loved her simple design with white embossed violets on Raspberry Fizz, with a few little details sprinkled in--sparkly centers, a scored edge and rounded corners. Just beautiful! I actually copied this card exactly, because it was so easy, but then I decided to change it up a bit. Here is my version in Enchanted Evening, with the smaller flowers. May Blog Hop.

This month we were challenged to use yellow.  It doesn't seem like it would be that hard, but for some reason, it can be.  I do love the combination of Berry Sorbet and Lemon Tart, so I stamped the big flower from PTI's Everyday Classics  in Berry Sorbet on white, then cut it out.  The small flowers are stamped in SU Ruby Red and popped up on dimensionals.  For the leaves, I used the wings from the birds in that set.  Enjoy!
