Toile Two Ways

I wanted to try out PTI's Fine Linen, and all along I've thought that a tone-on-tone damask or toile pattern would look beautiful with this color. I had a hard time pairing it with another color, but surprisingly, PTI's Ocean Tides works really well. These stamps are from a MAMBI set, and unfortunately, the quality of the stamps themselves is pretty bad. I do love the images, though. Here's version 1 with white:
Here's version 2 with Versamark:

  1. ooh so classy! Love FL with OT. Gosh they work well together. The quality of the stamps is not at all evident, must be your expert skills as they look gorgeous. So glad you were able to kick things into gear and back to blogging. Totally where you belong. ;-)

  7. Oh lovely! I love the way the white looks on the linen base -- it seems to pop more, if you know what I mean? But they're both stamped just fabulously!

  8. I think they are super classy. I love the pleated ribbon, too. I like them both, but the bottom one seems to catch my eye a little bit more. I like the white for the label in the middle. Great cards!

First up:  Stained Glass Stencil I used some pearly embossing paste with this stencil, and as you can see, the results are nice and crisp.  I popped up the "hello" ( Big Hello Love Die ) on some foam for more dimension, and the card is complete.  With a great background like that, a simple word die will finish it without competing. Next up we have two products: L...

Let's get to the projects! First up are two cards made with the same products...the  Stripe Background Stamp  and the  Stripe Sentiments Stamp Set .  There are so many possibilities with just these two products!  I started with an autumn rainbow of distress oxide inks: I really love how these sentiments fit perfectly in the stripes, and they look like the labels we used to make with those vintage label makers (remember turning the wheel and pulling the trigger for the right letters?).  They look especially good when heat embossed. (Sorry for getting that song...
