Baby Boy Invites

My friend finally had her first boy, after 3 wonderful girls, so some mutual friends are throwing a shower for her. They asked if I would create the invites, and I was so happy to do so. This is a flat card, with shower info on the back.
Isn't this set adorable? I also love these colors together. Can you see the polka dot embossing? It's the backside made from a PTI impression plate. Enjoy!
Paper: PTI White, Spring Rain, Pure Poppy
Ink: SU Real Red, PTI Enchanted Evening,
Stamps: PTI Fly Away, Piece of Cake, Inside Out: Baby
Other: Sakura Stardust marker, PTI Polka Dot Basics II Impression Plate

  2. Lovely baby boy invite cards!

  3. Adorable Cheryl! I love the use of the sentiment from Piece of Cake! How did you do that row of dots? They are perfect.

  4. This is a gorgeous invite. Totally BOY. Love the colours you used. Still waiting for my Fly Away stamp set to arrive.

  5. Cute invite! Love the blue and red together...and the fact that it's not your *usual* baby boy colors. Great job!

National Craft Month Celebration Blog Hop

Hello, friends!  I am honored to be a part of the National Craft Month Celebration Blog Hop with Right at Home Stamps.  Hopefully you've come from Linda's blog.

We are celebrating our hobby of papercrafting by bringing our community together and spending a day doing what we love.  Come hop with all of us, leave comments along the way, and you will be entered to win this awesome stamp set:

It's called "Make Something Beautiful", and it is being released today.  It's so fun to have a stamp set that is dedicated to our love of all things crafty--scrapbooking, painting, cardmaking, sewing, and any and all combinations of the above.  Here are two cards I've made with this set.  Those tools begged to be paper-pieced with some sparkly silver paper!

For this one I heat embossed the images in white on navy cardstock, as well as fussy cutting the tools out of the silver paper.  Then I used a Copic marker to shade the hearts and sentiment in red for a pop of color.

Papertrey Blog Hop-March

It has been a long time, but I thought I'd jump back in to the Papertrey Blog Hop this month.  I couldn't resist creating something with these beautiful patterns as inspiration.

Here's my take on it:

I used the Anniversary Set: Painted Petals, a combination of heat embossing, coloring with Copics on that heat embossing, fussy cutting and die cutting.  Very fun.
PTI White and Dark Indigo cardstock Ink: Versamark, Copics, PTI Hawaiian Shores, Blueberry Sky, Raspberry Fizz, Lovely Lady, HA Navy

Do it anyway.

Oh how much I've needed to hear this all week.
Thank you to Beth for a very insightful and thought-provoking post.  More cards to come soon.
*I found out that Mother Teresa did not, in fact, say this, but I wish I know who did.
