Playing with new PTI stuff

I finally got my PTI order today--it seemed like it took forever, but I hear they had quadruple the normal number of orders this month. Hooray for them! Anyway, I was so excited to try Giga Guide Lines and Mish's notepads/Take Note set. Here's my quick first try (I wanted to be able to attach a pen, so I left a loop on the side with the ribbon which ties all the way around):

This card is one I quickly came up with for others to mass produce at a craft night for my church next month. It uses my favorite PTI color combination--Sweet Blush, Berry Sorbet and Dark Chocolate. I looked and looked for the right size sentiment for the label, and I decided that one of my faves from Stampin' Up--Sincere Salutations--would do nicely. I added a little sparkle to the centers with a clear Stardust pen.
Notebook:
Paper: PTI White, Berry Sorbet, Sweet Blush
Ink: PTI Berry Sorbet, Sweet Blush
Stamps: PTI Take Note, Giga Guide Lines
Other: PTI Berry Sorbet satin ribbon, PTI notebook, 1 3/4" and 2" circle punches

Card:
Paper: PTI Sweet Blush, Berry Sorbet, Dark Chocolate, White
Ink: PTI Fresh Snow, Sweet Blush, SU Chocolate Chip
Stamps: PTI Giga Guide Lines, SU Sincere Salutations
Other: Sakura Stardust pen-clear, Labels 1 Nestabilities

  11. I just got my PTI notepads in the mail yesterday. Now I'm even more excited to get playing with them. Great idea with the pen attached outside the pad. Love your 'clean' style as well!

Birthday Card for My Sister

I made this birthday card for my sister, and I love how it turned out.  This large stamp is from Concord & 9th, called Hello, Lovely.  I colored it with Altenew's new markers, then added touches of a gold Wink of Stella marker.  I didn't want the sentiment to compete with the image, so I embossed it in gold on vellum.  Beautiful stamp!

Lil' Inker Designs Mini Release Blog Hop

Hello, friends!  So glad you're here, hopping with us.  (Go here to see the full blog hop order.)  I am excited to show you this brand new stamp from Lil' Inker Designs, which is part of their May Mini Release.  Leave comments on any of the blogs in this hop to enter to win one of the new stamp sets, the new cover plate, or the angel pets goodies!  Details on the Lil' Inker Designs Blog.

This stamp is called Never Regret Being Kind. (Keep hopping, and you'll see more!)

One of the things I love most about this hobby is that it is inherently kind.  So what could be better than a stamp that encourages even more kindness?  Such a great sentiment!

This stamp is easy to use as the focal point of a card...so easy, in fact, that I made 4 right out of the gate!  Each one uses a different technique--this stamp is so versatile.

For my first, I heat embossed the sentiment in white on steel grey cardstock.  I then colored over the embossing with my Copics for a multicolored effect…

National Craft Month Celebration Blog Hop

Hello, friends!  I am honored to be a part of the National Craft Month Celebration Blog Hop with Right at Home Stamps.  Hopefully you've come from Linda's blog.

We are celebrating our hobby of papercrafting by bringing our community together and spending a day doing what we love.  Come hop with all of us, leave comments along the way, and you will be entered to win this awesome stamp set:

It's called "Make Something Beautiful", and it is being released today.  It's so fun to have a stamp set that is dedicated to our love of all things crafty--scrapbooking, painting, cardmaking, sewing, and any and all combinations of the above.  Here are two cards I've made with this set.  Those tools begged to be paper-pieced with some sparkly silver paper!

For this one I heat embossed the images in white on navy cardstock, as well as fussy cutting the tools out of the silver paper.  Then I used a Copic marker to shade the hearts and sentiment in red for a pop of color.
