October Blog Hop--Rachel's Christmas Cards

This month, we are to showcase projects we are working on for the Holiday season. This card is one of 50 that my 14-year-old daughter is making for my mom. This is Rachel's third year to make my mom's cards. She came up with this design and color combination herself. Isn't it great? I wish everyone could have a Rachel. She's amazing.
For the record, I don't mass-produce Christmas cards, because I am a little insane, and I make my kids spell out words with their bodies and silly things like that.
This is the card she made last year. Isn't it beautiful, too? These designs are both really simple for mass production.
Card #1:
Paper: PTI Vintage Cream, Pure Poppy, SU Garden Green

Other: Silver embossing powder

    Oh I need a Rachel! These cards are fabulous! I love Rachel's eye for gorgeous colours and fantastic layouts! Great job!
    Cheryl, I just gotta see your insane idea with using your kids' bodies to spell out words, sounds like a hoot! LOL!

    They are both great! I like the more traditional colors for this years card. AND, I love the blue and silver from last years. What a great thing for your daughter to do!

Erin Lee Creative January Release

First up are two cards made with the same products...the  Stripe Background Stamp  and the  Stripe Sentiments Stamp Set .  There are so many possibilities with just these two products!  I started with an autumn rainbow of distress oxide inks: I really love how these sentiments fit perfectly in the stripes, and they look like the labels we used to make with those vintage label makers (remember turning the wheel and pulling the trigger for the right letters?).  They look especially good when heat embossed.
