I Can't Believe It! Guest Star Stamper!

I am so excited! I won this month's Guest Star Stamper for Papertrey Ink in the category "Best Clean and Simple Holiday Card". You know I'm all over the clean and simple! I think I entered 13 cards or something like that (you can see them all here)--I'll post them over the next couple of days. The best part is that my favorite card was the one that actually got picked. Love it! It really is a simple card to make, but it packs a punch.

Paper: PTI White, Pure Poppy, SU Garden Green
Ink: Versamark
Stamps: Tree Trimming Trio, Signature Christmas
Other: White Filigree embossing powder

Birthday Card for My Sister

I made this birthday card for my sister, and I love how it turned out.  This large stamp is from Concord & 9th, called Hello, Lovely.  I colored it with Altenew's new markers, then added touches of a gold Wink of Stella marker.  I didn't want the sentiment to compete with the image, so I embossed it in gold on vellum.  Beautiful stamp!

Lil' Inker Designs Mini Release Blog Hop

Hello, friends!  So glad you're here, hopping with us.  (Go here to see the full blog hop order.)  I am excited to show you this brand new stamp from Lil' Inker Designs, which is part of their May Mini Release.  Leave comments on any of the blogs in this hop to enter to win one of the new stamp sets, the new cover plate, or the angel pets goodies!  Details on the Lil' Inker Designs Blog.

This stamp is called Never Regret Being Kind. (Keep hopping, and you'll see more!)

One of the things I love most about this hobby is that it is inherently kind.  So what could be better than a stamp that encourages even more kindness?  Such a great sentiment!

This stamp is easy to use as the focal point of a card...so easy, in fact, that I made 4 right out of the gate!  Each one uses a different technique--this stamp is so versatile.

For my first, I heat embossed the sentiment in white on steel grey cardstock.  I then colored over the embossing with my Copics for a multicolored effect…

Fresh Cut Poppies

I love poppies.  Every time I see a poppy stamp set, I am drawn to it.  I've had my eye on this set from The Ton for a while, and I was lucky enough to borrow it from a friend.  It is really easy to line up the layers, and I love the realistic look.
The sentiment is from Right At Home, and I happen to really love the quote and its author

He really did.  I'm so glad.
