Grandma's gift-girls

I made my mother-in-law a set of birthday cards to send to her grandchildren throughout the year. I hope it makes her life easier, since by the end of this year, she will have 25! 10 girls, 14 boys, and one as-yet undetermined. All under the age of 14. She is such a great grandma, and she is always so thoughtful with their birthday gifts. I don't quite know how she does it. She's wonderful!

I thought I would make her cards that were pretty, but one-layer, so they would be easy to mail and wouldn't compete with any gift she might add. Here are the two girl designs, both on Sweet Blush cardstock. The first one has a little sparkle, thanks to a handy-dandy Sakura Stardust pen.

Card #1:
Paper: PTI Sweet Blush
Ink: PTI Berry Sorbet, SU Certainly Celery, Real Red
Stamps: PTI Everyday Blessings, Flower Garden

Card #2: Same as above, with Sakura Stardust clear and red pens, and PTI Women of Life and Flower Garden stamps

  2. I came back to see the pictures, and they're here! So pretty! I love the leaves you paired with the flowers from Everyday Classics! Your mom reminds me of my grandmother- she has like 2o-some grandkids plus tons of great-grandkids and has a whole method on who gets a gift until what age and then they only get a card. I think that sending out the cards keeps her active, thinking and definitely busy!! Have a great day!

Erin Lee Creative January Release

Hello everyone!  Welcome to the Erin Lee Creative January release .  When I received these products I sat down immediately and started to play.  There are such fun new stamps, dies and stencils.  I'm sure you'll find something you like. We are hopping today (see list below) to show off these great new products.  If you've come from Lindsay Dickason's blog , you're in the right place! There will be two (2) $25 gift certificate winners chosen from the comments on our blogs, so comment away!  Winners will be posted on the Erin Lee Creative Blog on Saturday, February 1. First up:  Stained Glass Stencil I used some pearly embossing paste with this stencil, and as you can see, the results are nice and crisp.  I popped up the "hello" ( Big Hello Love Die ) on some foam for more dimension, and the card is complete.  With a great background like that, a simple word die will finish it without competing. Next up we have two products: L...

Erin Lee Creative November Release

Hello!  I am your last stop on the Erin Lee Creative blog hop for the November release, now available in the shop .  If you haven't seen everyone's creations yet, check the list at the bottom of this post. *PRIZES* Two $50 gift vouchers will be given to winners chosen randomly from comments on each blog in the hop.  Winners will be announced on the Erin Lee Creative blog on November 9. Let's get to the projects! First up are two cards made with the same products...the  Stripe Background Stamp  and the  Stripe Sentiments Stamp Set .  There are so many possibilities with just these two products!  I started with an autumn rainbow of distress oxide inks: I really love how these sentiments fit perfectly in the stripes, and they look like the labels we used to make with those vintage label makers (remember turning the wheel and pulling the trigger for the right letters?).  They look especially good when heat embossed. (Sorry for getting that song...
