Variation On a Theme

You've seen this before in different colors. Here's a slight variation. Watch out--I'm getting crazy with the ribbon...I'm working on more single-layer cards.   I embossed the flower in white, then colored it in with SU Cameo Coral and Chocolate Chip markers.  Then I went over the brown with my Stardust clear pen to give it just a little shine to match the organdy ribbon (click to enlarge). This set is going to my cousin for her birthday. She loves that Berry Sorbet color.

Paper: PTI Sweet Blush
Ink: SU Chocolate Chip, Versamark
Stamps: PTI Friends 'Til the End, SU Sincere Salutations
Other: Offray Organdy, PTI Berry Sorbet satin ribbon, Sakura Stardust clear pen

First up:  Stained Glass Stencil I used some pearly embossing paste with this stencil, and as you can see, the results are nice and crisp.  I popped up the "hello" ( Big Hello Love Die ) on some foam for more dimension, and the card is complete.  With a great background like that, a simple word die will finish it without competing. Next up we have two products: L...

ELC Look On the Bright Side Kit

Hi friends,  Erin Lee Creative has a fantastic new kit today which coordinates with the previously-released Somewhere Kit .  It's called Look On the Bright Side , and it has a die, stencil and stamp sets with the most perfect sentiments for encouragement cards.  There is also a rainbow alphabet set available as an add-on.   Join us in our blog hop today and comment to enter for a giveaway (see below). Isn't this a great kit? My first card uses the rainbow burst stencil.  I pounced white ink through the stencil, then I used Polychromos pencils to color over the white ink.  This technique allows the color to stand out on dark cardstock.  Of course I had to add a little shine and glitter, so I colored over parts of the rainbow and rays with a shimmer pen. My next two cards were inspired by a T-shirt ad I came across, and I loved the ombré of skin tones.  I really believe that good things are coming, and I absolutely believe that we rise by lift...
