More Turning a New Leaf...Can't resist. One of my favorite color combos is raspberry and lime green (and the real-life flavors taste good together, too). Here are a couple of attempts with Prima flowers. I don't know which one I like better--I'm a little wary of making cards where the inside is dark, rather than white. Can people read writing on that color?
It's hard to tell, but I added a little sparkle to the centers of the flowers with a Sakura Stardust clear pen. I like a little bling now and then.
Both cards:
Paper: PTI White, Raspberry Fizz
Ink: SU Gable Green, Pink Passion
Stamps: PTI Turning a New Leaf, Giga Guide Lines
Other: Prima flowers, Sakura Stardust clear pen, corner rounder
I like both of them! Usually if I have a dark base color I'll add a lighter colored piece inside that coordinates so that I can write/stamp on that. Or you could use white ink inside too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards! When I have dark card bases I too just add a light color cardstock panel inside.
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty Cheryl! I love the addition of the primas - what a great design.
ReplyDeleteSooooo sweet! Personally, I like the first card....don't get me wrong...they are both fantastic!! But the first card really POPs! Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteSuper pretty! Love the idea of adding the primas!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Cheryl! I love those colors together too!
ReplyDeleteI usually add a lighter color layer to the insides of my dark-based cards (that's when all the paper insert with the color names from PTI come in handy!)
These are both very beautiful cards! Your colors and primas are a wonderful combination
ReplyDeleteI agree, love that color combo! And love those little flowers, they look like little cherry blossoms.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. I like the dark base card.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors, Cheryl. I love the stamping with the flowers, such a lovely combination!!
ReplyDeleteLove both of these! Love the color combo, love the flowers, love the clean and simple design! Did I mention I love them?
